उत्तिष्ठ पश्य वदनं लोकनाथस्य धीमत: । पुण्डरीकपलाशारक्ष पुरेव चपलेक्षणम्,“बेटा! उठकर खड़ा हो जा और बुद्धिमान् जगदीश्वर श्रीकृष्णके कमलदलके समान नेत्रोंवाले मुखारविन्दकी शोभा निहार, ठीक उसी तरह जैसे पहले मैं चंचल नेत्रोंवाले तेरे पिताका मुँह निहारा करती थी”
uttiṣṭha paśya vadanaṁ lokanāthasya dhīmataḥ | puṇḍarīka-palāśārkṣaṁ pureva capalekṣaṇam ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Levántate y contempla el rostro del sabio Señor del mundo—Śrī Kṛṣṇa—de ojos como pétalos de loto y semblante resplandeciente. Míralo tal como, antaño, yo solía mirar el rostro de tu padre con mis ojos inquietos».
