ह्वियमाणे तु दृष्टवा स कुण्डले भुजगेन ह
hviyamāṇe tu dṛṣṭvā sa kuṇḍale bhujagena ha
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: Al ver que la serpiente se llevaba los pendientes, el sabio Uttaṅka se estremeció de alarma. Abrasado por una ira feroz, saltó del árbol, tomó un bastón de madera y comenzó a cavar el hormiguero—impulsado por el deber de recobrar lo arrebatado y enderezar aquel acto de despojo injusto.
