Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
मयि चेदस्ति ते प्रीतिर्नित्यं कुरुकुलोद्वह । अध्यात्ममेतच्छुत्वा त्वं सम्यगाचर सुव्रत
mayi ced asti te prītir nityaṁ kurukulodvaha | adhyātmam etac chrutvā tvaṁ samyag āchara suvrata ||
Dijo Vāyu: «Oh el más ilustre sostén del linaje de los Kuru, si en verdad guardas hacia mí un afecto y una reverencia constantes, entonces, tras oír esta enseñanza del Ser interior, practícala rectamente y sin cesar, con la firme disciplina de quien observa el voto más elevado.»
वायुदेव उवाच
Devotion is validated through conduct: if the listener truly reveres Vāyu, they must not merely hear adhyātma (inner spiritual knowledge) but practice it correctly and continuously, with disciplined commitment.
Vāyu addresses a Kuru scion and frames his instruction as a test of sincerity: the recipient’s love and respect should manifest as steady, proper observance of the adhyātma teaching just imparted.
