मासार्धमासगणितं विषमं लोकसंचरम् । तमोनियमपड्कं च रजोवेगप्रवर्तकम्
māsārdhamāsagaṇitaṃ viṣamaṃ lokasañcaram | tamoniyamapaṅkaṃ ca rajovegapravartakam
Vāyu-deva dijo: «Se desplaza por los mundos en un curso desigual, contado por meses y quincenas; es un lodazal regido por la oscuridad (tamas), y pone en marcha el impetuoso oleaje de la pasión (rajas).»
