Sāttvika-vṛtta-kathana (Brahmā on the Conduct of Sattva) — Chapter 38
प्रकीर्तिता: सत्त्वगुणा विशेषतो यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरस्तु यो वेद गुणानिमान् सदा गुणान् स भुड्धक्ते न गुणैः स युज्यते
prakīrtitāḥ sattvaguṇā viśeṣato yathādaduktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naras tu yo veda guṇān imān sadā guṇān sa bhuṅkte na guṇaiḥ sa yujyate ||
Vāyu dijo: «Se han proclamado con detalle las cualidades de sattva en su forma distintiva, y también se ha expuesto el modo en que obran las guṇas. Pero quien comprende de verdad estas guṇas experimenta continuamente sus efectos sin quedar atado a ellas; goza de las guṇas, y sin embargo no queda uncido a ellas.»
