अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
स राजन् मानसं दुःखमपनीय युधिषछ्िरात्
sa rājan mānasaṃ duḥkham apanīya yudhiṣṭhirāt
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Oh rey, tras apartar de Yudhiṣṭhira la pena de su mente, (los acontecimientos siguieron su curso). Este verso subraya la labor ética de consolar a un soberano justo: su duelo debe ser aquietado y afirmado para que el dharma se sostenga, aun en la vejez y en la renuncia.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is sustained not only by action but by inner steadiness; dispelling mental grief in a righteous leader is an ethical act that restores clarity, restraint, and right judgment.
