अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
यथा वदसि राजेन्द्र सर्वमेतत् तथा विभो । नात्र मिथ्या वच: किंचित् सुद्वत्त्वं न: परस्परम्,'राजेन्द्र! प्रभो! आप जो कुछ कहते हैं, वह सब ठीक है। उसमें असत्यका लेश भी नहीं है। वास्तवमें इस राजवंशमें और हमलोगोंमें परस्पर दृढ़ सौहार्द स्थापित हो चुका है
yathā vadasi rājendra sarvam etat tathā vibho | nātra mithyā vacaḥ kiñcit sudṛḍhatvaṃ naḥ parasparam ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Oh el mejor de los reyes, oh señor poderoso, todo cuanto dices es exactamente así. No hay en ello la más mínima sombra de falsedad. En verdad, entre tu linaje real y nosotros se ha establecido un vínculo firme y recíproco de buena voluntad».
