Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth
guruśuśrūṣayā caiva jananī te janādhipa | prāptā sumahatīṁ siddhim iti me nātra saṁśayaḥ ||
Reverent service to gurus and elders (guruśuśrūṣā) is presented as a powerful dharmic practice that yields profound spiritual attainment (siddhi), emphasizing humility, gratitude, and disciplined conduct.
Narada addresses the king and affirms that the king’s mother, Kunti, has achieved a great spiritual state, attributing her success to her devoted service to venerable elders/teachers, and he states his certainty about this.
