संजयं च महात्मानं कृपं चापि महारथम् | अनुनेतुमिहेच्छामि भवद्धिर्वसुधाधिपम्
sañjayaṃ ca mahātmānaṃ kṛpaṃ cāpi mahāratham | anunetum ihecchāmi bhavadbhir vasudhādhipam
Vaiśaṃpāyana dijo: «Aquí deseo, con vuestra ayuda, persuadir con suavidad al señor de la tierra—junto con el noble Sañjaya y con Kṛpa, el gran guerrero de carro».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
