नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
तास्तु षट् कृत्तिका गर्भ पुपुषुर्जातवेदस: । प्रट्सु वर्त्मसु तेजो5ग्ने: सकल॑ निहितं प्रभो,प्रभो! उन छहों कृत्तिकाओंने अग्निके उस गर्भका पोषण किया। अग्निका वह सारा तेज छः मार्गोसे उनके भीतर स्थापित हो चुका था
tāstu ṣaṭ kṛttikā garbhaṃ pupuṣuḥ jātavedasaḥ | pratsu vartmasu tejo 'gneḥ sakalaṃ nihitaṃ prabho ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Aquellas seis doncellas Kṛttikā alimentaron con esmero el embrión de Jātavedas (Agni). Oh señor, toda la potencia ígnea de Agni había sido depositada en ellas por seis conductos distintos».
