एवं रामाय कौरव्य वसिष्ठोडकथयत्‌ पुरा | तस्मात्‌ सुवर्णदानाय प्रयतस्व नराधिप

Transliteration

evaṁ rāmāya kauravya vasiṣṭho ’kathayat purā | tasmāt suvarṇa-dānāya prayatasva narādhipa kuru-nandana nareśvara ||

Translation

Dijo Bhīṣma: «Oh Kauravya, en tiempos antiguos Vasiṣṭha relató a Rāma (Paraśurāma) toda esta historia: el origen del oro y su grandeza. Por ello, oh rey, oh alegría de los Kurus, esfuérzate con empeño en dar oro en caridad».
