Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
ततोडब्रुवन् देवगणा: पितामहमुपेत्य वै । कृताञ्जलिपुटा: सर्वे शिरोभिरभिवन्द्य च,इस प्रकार विवाद उपस्थित होनेपर समस्त देवताओंने ब्रह्माजीके पास जा दोनों हाथ जोड़ मस्तक झुकाकर उनको प्रणाम किया और कहा--
tato 'bruvan devagaṇāḥ pitāmaham upetya vai | kṛtāñjalipuṭāḥ sarve śirobhir abhivandya ca ||
Cuando así surgió la disputa, todas las huestes de los dioses se acercaron a Pitāmaha Brahmā. Con las palmas unidas en reverencia y la cabeza inclinada, le rindieron homenaje y luego hablaron—pidiendo su guía para restaurar el orden y sostener el dharma.
वसिष्ठ उवाच
In moments of dispute, one should approach a legitimate, wise authority with humility and reverence, seeking guidance to re-establish dharma rather than escalating conflict.
A conflict has arisen; the gods collectively go to Brahmā (Pitāmaha), bow with joined hands, and begin to present their case or request for a decision.
