गोप्रदानगुणाः तथा कपिलागोविधानम्

एतच्चैनं यो<नुतिछेत युक्तः सत्ये रतो गुरुशुश्रूषया च । दक्ष: क्षान्तो देवतार्थी प्रशान्तः शुचिर्बुद्धो धर्मशीलोडनहंवाक्ू
etac cainaṃ yo ’nutisṭhet yuktaḥ satye rato guruśuśrūṣayā ca | dakṣaḥ kṣānto devatārthī praśāntaḥ śucir buddho dharmaśīlo ’nahaṃvāk ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Quien, siendo disciplinado, vive conforme a esto—deleitado en la verdad y dedicado al servicio del maestro—capaz, paciente, inclinado al culto de los dioses, sereno por dentro, puro, sabio, asentado en el dharma y libre de palabras que se afirman a sí mismas: tal persona encarna de veras la conducta que aquí se enseña.»
