कांस्योपदोहनां धेनुं रेवत्यां यः प्रयच्छति । सा प्रेत्य कामानादाय दातारमुपतिष्ठति,जो रेवती नक्षत्रमें कांसके दुग्धपात्रसे युक्त धेनुका दान करता है वह धेनु परलोकमें सम्पूर्ण भोगोंको लेकर उस दाताकी सेवामें उपस्थित होती है
nārada uvāca |
kāṁsyopadohanāṁ dhenuṁ revatyāṁ yaḥ prayacchati |
sā pretya kāmān ādāya dātāram upatiṣṭhati ||
Dijo Nārada: «Quien, en el tiempo de la mansión lunar Revatī, dona una vaca provista de un recipiente de ordeño de bronce (kāṃsya), tras la muerte esa misma vaca, llevando consigo todos los goces deseados, viene a presentarse para atender y servir al donante.»
नारद उवाच
That dāna performed with appropriate care—here, gifting a milch-cow equipped with a bronze milking vessel and done at an auspicious nakṣatra—yields enduring merit, symbolized by the gift itself becoming a source of support and enjoyment for the donor in the afterlife.
Nārada is enumerating the fruits of specific charitable gifts. In this verse he states that a cow donated with a bronze milking utensil during the Revatī lunar mansion will, after the donor’s death, appear in the next world bringing desired enjoyments and attending upon the donor.
