दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

मघवोवाच भगवन्‌ केन दानेन स्वर्गत: सुखमेधते । यदक्षयं महार्घ च तद्‌ ब्रूहि वदतां वर

maghavovāca bhagavan kena dānena svargataḥ sukham edhate | yad akṣayaṁ mahārgha ca tad brūhi vadatāṁ vara ||

Dijo Maghavān (Indra): «Oh Señor venerable, el mejor de los oradores: ¿con qué clase de dádiva crece la dicha del donante, incluso más allá de la que se halla en el cielo? Dime—oh el más excelso en la palabra—cuál es esa caridad cuyo fruto es imperecedero y de supremo valor.»
