तिलान्‌ ददत पानीयं दीपान्‌ ददत जाग्रत । ज्ञातिभि: सह मोदध्वमेतत्‌ प्रेत्य सुदुर्लभम्‌

Transliteration

tilān dadat pānīyaṃ dīpān dadat jāgrata | jñātibhiḥ saha modadhvam etat pretya sudurlabham ||

Translation

Bhishma dijo: Dad sésamo en caridad; dad agua para beber; dad lámparas. Permaneced vigilantes y despiertos en vuestros deberes. Alegraos junto a vuestros parientes: tal ocasión de concordia es sumamente difícil de obtener una vez que se ha partido de este mundo.
