Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
शुकश्न कर्मणा तेन आनृशंस्यकृतेन वै । आयुषो<न्न्ते महाराज प्राप शक्रसलोकताम्,महाराज! वह शुक भी आयु समाप्त होनेपर अपने उस दयापूर्ण बर्तावके कारण इन्द्रलोकको प्राप्त हुआ
śukaś ca karmaṇā tena ānṛśaṁsyakṛtena vai | āyuṣo 'nte mahārāja prāpa śakrasalokātām ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Oh gran rey, aquel Śuka también—por ese acto suyo de compasión, nacido de la no crueldad—al término de su vida alcanzó el mundo de Śakra (Indra)».
