Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46

The verse stresses moral accountability: committing a wrongful act and then concealing it (refusing to acknowledge or confess it) leads to the same negative karmic outcome as that of recognized sinners—unwholesome posthumous realms.
Vipula rebukes the listener for having wronged him and then not admitting it. He warns that such hidden wrongdoing carries grave karmic consequences, equating the doer’s fate with that of pāpakṛts (habitual sinners).
