Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange (विश्वामित्र-जन्म: ऋचीक–सत्यवती–गाधि वृत्तान्तः)
तथैव क्षत्रियो राजन् विश्वामित्रो महातपा:
tathaiva kṣatriyo rājan viśvāmitro mahātapāḥ
Bhīṣma dijo: «Del mismo modo, oh Rey, Viśvāmitra, de gran austeridad—aunque kṣatriya por nacimiento—(alcanzó la más alta dignidad espiritual)».
भीष्म उवाच
Spiritual excellence and dharmic stature are achievable through tapas and disciplined conduct, not limited by birth-status; Viśvāmitra is cited as a kṣatriya who attained great ascetic power.
Bhīṣma, instructing the king, continues a series of illustrative examples and points to Viśvāmitra as proof that a warrior-ruler can, through severe austerities, become a great sage.
