पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
नच प्रेत्य विनश्यन्ति गच्छन्ति च परां गतिम् इसी प्रकार वे यजमान भी प्रसन्न होते हैं जिनकी दी हुई हवि ब्राह्मणोंके उपयोगमें आती है। वे मरनेके बाद नष्ट नहीं होते हैं, उत्तम गतिको प्राप्त हो जाते हैं
na ca pretya vinaśyanti gacchanti ca parāṃ gatim
Bhishma dijo: «Del mismo modo, los yajamānas, los oficiantes del sacrificio, cuya oblación ofrecida llega al uso de los brāhmaṇas, quedan también satisfechos en su interior. Tras la muerte no perecen; antes bien, alcanzan el más alto destino.»
