Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
प्रपाणां च सभानां च संक्रमाणां च भारत | अगाराणां च भेत्तारो नरा निरयगामिन:,भरतनन्दन! जो पौंसलों, सभाओं, पुलों और किसीके घरोंको नष्ट करनेवाले हैं, वे मनुष्य निश्चय ही नरकमें पड़ते हैं
prapāṇāṁ ca sabhānāṁ ca saṅkramāṇāṁ ca bhārata | agārāṇāṁ ca bhettāro narā nirayagāminaḥ ||
Dijo Bhishma: Oh Bharata, aquellos hombres que destruyen los abrevaderos públicos, las salas de asamblea, los puentes y los pasos, y que irrumpen o arruinan las casas ajenas—ésos, sin duda, están destinados al infierno.
भीष्म उवाच
Destroying public utilities (water stations, halls, bridges/crossings) and violating homes is a serious breach of dharma; such acts harm the community’s safety and sustenance and therefore lead to severe karmic retribution, described here as going to niraya (hell).
In the Anushasana Parva, Bhishma instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on righteous conduct and the consequences of wrongdoing. In this verse he lists specific destructive acts against communal and domestic spaces and declares their perpetrators to be destined for hell.
