Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
श्राद्धे दैवे च निर्दिष्टो ब्राह्मणो भरतर्षभ । दातुः प्रतिग्रहीतुश्न शृणुष्वानुग्रह पुन:
bhīṣma uvāca | śrāddhe daive ca nirdiṣṭo brāhmaṇo bharatarṣabha | dātuḥ pratigrahītuś ca śṛṇuṣvānugrahaṃ punaḥ ||
Bhishma dijo: «Oh toro entre los Bharata, ya se ha señalado qué clase de brahmán debe ser excluida en las ofrendas a los dioses y en los ritos de śrāddha. Ahora escucha de nuevo, mientras explico—por compasiva concesión—las cualidades de quienes dan y de quienes reciben, aun en casos en que alguien, de otro modo, estaría impedido de participar en el śrāddha.»
