Aṣṭāvakra–Strī-saṃvāda: Dhṛti, hospitality, and a dispute on autonomy

प्रदक्षिणं तथा चक्रे प्रयतः शिरसा नतः । धरणीमवतीर्याथ पूतात्मासौ तदाभवत्‌,उन बड़े-बड़े पर्वतोंको लाँचकर यतचित्त हो उन्होंने किरातवेषधारी महादेवजीके उत्तम स्थानकी परिक्रमा की और उसे मस्तक झुकाकर प्रणाम किया। फिर नीचे पृथ्वीपर उतरकर वे उस स्थानके माहात्म्यसे तत्काल पवित्रात्मा हो गये

pradakṣiṇaṃ tathā cakre prayataḥ śirasā nataḥ | dharaṇīm avatīryātha pūtātmāsau tadābhavat ||

Bhishma dijo: Con mente disciplinada y recogimiento reverente, circunvaló aquel lugar sagrado, inclinando la cabeza en homenaje. Luego, al descender a la tierra, quedó purificado en espíritu al instante por el poder santificador y la gloria de aquel sitio, mostrando que la humildad, el culto y el contacto con un ámbito santo se tienen por capaces de limpiar y aquietar el ser interior.
