Aṣṭāvakra–Strī-saṃvāda: Dhṛti, hospitality, and a dispute on autonomy
प्रीतो5स्मि सदृशं चैव तव सर्व धनाधिप । तव प्रसादाद् भगवन् महर्षेश्न महात्मन:,“धनाधिप! मैं बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। आपकी सारी बातें आपके अनुरूप ही हैं। भगवन्! अब मैं आपकी कृपासे उन महात्मा महर्षि वदान्यकी आज्ञाके अनुसार आगे जाऊँगा। आप अभ्युदयशील एवं समृद्धिशाली हों।! इतना कहकर भगवान् अष्टावक्र उत्तर दिशाकी ओर मुँह करके चल दिये
prīto ’smi sadṛśaṃ caiva tava sarva dhanādhipa | tava prasādād bhagavan maharṣeśa mahātmanaḥ ||
Bhishma dijo: «Me complazco, oh señor de las riquezas. Todo cuanto has dicho es enteramente acorde con tu noble naturaleza. Por tu benévola gracia, oh venerable—oh magnánimo, señor entre los sabios—proseguiré ahora conforme al mandato de aquel gran ṛṣi generoso. ¡Que siempre crezcas en bienestar y prosperidad!» Dicho esto, el venerable Aṣṭāvakra volvió el rostro hacia el norte y partió.
