यजनं बहुशश्चाग्नौ जगु: सामानि सामगा: । ततश्चन्दनकाष्ठैश्ष तथा कालीयकैरपि

Transliteration

yajanaṃ bahuśaścāgnau jaguḥ sāmāni sāmagāḥ | tataścandanakāṣṭhaiś ca tathā kālīyakair api ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dijo: Los cantores del Sāma ofrecieron repetidas oblaciones al fuego sagrado y entonaron himnos sāman. Luego alimentaron también la llama con madera de sándalo y con la fragancia kālīyaka, acrecentando la solemnidad y la pureza del rito con sustancias auspiciosas y perfumadas.
