Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvā kurūn sarvān bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavas tadā | tṛṣṇīṁ babhūva kauravyaḥ sa muhūrtam arindama ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Habiendo hablado así a todos los kurus, Bhīṣma, hijo de Śantanu, guardó silencio. Oh domador de enemigos, el kaurava yació callado por un momento—una pausa que sellaba el peso de su postrer consejo y la solemne cercanía de su partida.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
