यथा पाण्डो: सुता राज॑स्तथैव तव धर्मत: । तान् पालय स्थितो धर्मे गुरुशुश्रूषणे रतान्
yathā pāṇḍoḥ sutā rājas tathaiva tava dharmataḥ | tān pālaya sthito dharme guruśuśrūṣaṇe ratān |
Dijo Bhishma: «Oh rey, así como son hijos de Pāṇḍu, del mismo modo—según la medida del dharma—también son tuyos. Siempre entregados al servicio de los mayores y de los maestros, merecen tu amparo. Por ello, firme en la rectitud, cuídalos como cuidarías a tus propios hijos».
