अभिवाद्याथ कौन्तेय: पितामहमरिंदम । द्वैपायनादीन वि्रांश्न तैश्न प्रत्यभिनन्दित:
abhivādyātha kaunteyaḥ pitāmaham ariṃdama | dvaipāyanādīn viprāṃś ca taiś ca pratyabhinanditaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Entonces el hijo de Kuntī, domador de enemigos, se inclinó primero ante el Abuelo. Después saludó con respeto a Vyāsa y a los demás brāhmaṇas; y ellos, a su vez, lo recibieron con palabras de bienvenida y aprobación, pues honrar a los mayores y a los maestros es, en sí mismo, señal de dharma.
