यथा ह्ुपस्थितैश्वर्या: प्रजायन्ते न राजसा: । एवमेवात्मना5७त्मानं पूजयन्तीह धार्मिका:
yathā hy upasthitaiśvaryāḥ prajāyante na rājasāḥ | evam evātmanātmānaṃ pūjayantīha dhārmikāḥ ||
Bhishma dijo: «Así como quienes ya poseen una soberanía asentada no buscan renacer por un afán rajásico (impulsado por la pasión), del mismo modo los justos honran aquí al Sí mismo por el Sí mismo. Mediante la práctica disciplinada del dharma, elevan su ser interior y alcanzan un estado más alto, cuidándose de no caer de nuevo en el ciclo de nacimientos y muertes por el predominio del rajas».
