लोकपालोडन््तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:
lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||
Dijo Vāyu: «Él es el Protector de los mundos, que se mueve en forma invisible, siempre colmado de serena gracia. Cabalga en un carro uncido con caballos y mulas. Es puro y sumamente venerable; se le alcanza mediante la observancia de disciplinas como la pureza y el contentamiento, y él mismo es el sostén y refugio de esas disciplinas».
