Shloka 13
तस्माद् दद्यान्न याचेत पूजयेद् धार्मिकानपि । सुभाषी प्रियकृच्छान्त: सर्वसत्त्वाविहिंसक:
tasmād dadyān na yāceta pūjayed dhārmikān api | subhāṣī priyakṛc chāntaḥ sarvasattvā-vihiṃsakaḥ ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Por ello, uno debe dar limosna por sí mismo y no mendigar a otros. Debe honrar a los justos, hablar con buenas palabras, obrar por el bien de todos, permanecer sereno y abstenerse de dañar a cualquier ser viviente».
