Shloka 3

वायुदेव उवाच हन्त ते कीर्तयिष्यामि नमस्कृत्य कपर्दिने । यदवाप्तं मया राजन्‌ श्रेयो यच्चार्जितं यश:,भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने कहा--राजन्‌! मैं जटाजूटधारी भगवान्‌ शंकरको नमस्कार करके प्रसन्नतापूर्वक यह बता रहा हूँ कि मैंने कौन-सा श्रेय प्राप्त किया और किस यशका उपार्जन किया

vāyudeva uvāca hanta te kīrtayiṣyāmi namaskṛtya kapardine | yad avāptaṃ mayā rājan śreyo yac cārjitaṃ yaśaḥ ||

Dijo Vāyudeva: «Ven, oh Rey; te relataré—tras inclinarme primero con reverencia ante Kapardin (Śiva, el Señor de la cabellera enmarañada)—qué bien verdadero he alcanzado y qué fama he ganado».
