Shloka 23
रुद्रस्य भागं यज्ञे च विशिष्ट ते त्वकल्पयन् | भयेन त्रिदशा राजन् शरणं च प्रपेदिरे,राजन! देवतालोग भयके मारे भगवान् शंकरकी शरणमें गये। उन्होंने यज्ञमें रुद्रके लिये विशिष्ट भागकी कल्पना की (यज्ञावशिष्ट सारी सामग्री रुद्रके अधिकारमें दे दी)
rudrasya bhāgaṃ yajñe ca viśiṣṭa te tv akalpayan | bhayena tridaśā rājan śaraṇaṃ ca prapedire |
Dijo Vāyu: «Oh rey, por temor los dioses buscaron refugio en Rudra (Śaṅkara). Entonces le asignaron una porción distinta y eminente en el sacrificio, reservando para Rudra todo lo que quedaba como resto sacrificial».

Vāyu narrates that the gods, frightened, approach Rudra/Śaṅkara for protection and then formally institute a distinct portion for him in the yajña, effectively assigning the sacrificial remainder as Rudra’s entitlement.
