ततः परमसंक्रुद्धो रथात् प्रस्कन्द्य स द्विज: । पदातिरुत्पथेनैव प्राद्रवद् दक्षिणामुख:
tataḥ parama-saṅkruddho rathāt praskandya sa dvijaḥ | padātir utpathenaiva prādravad dakṣiṇāmukhaḥ ||
Entonces, presa de una ira extrema, aquel brahmán saltó del carro. Hecho caminante, echó a correr de inmediato por un sendero fuera del camino, con el rostro vuelto hacia el sur; su agitación lo llevó a abandonar la vía correcta y huir con premura.
