अकस्माच्च प्रहसति तथाकस्मात् प्ररोदिति । न चास्य वयसा तुल्य: पृथिव्यामभवत् तदा,वे अकस्मात् जोर-जोरसे हँसने लगते और अचानक फूट-फूटकर रो पड़ते थे। उस समय इस पृथ्वीपर उनका समवयस्क कोई नहीं था
akasmācca prahasati tathākasmāt praroditi | na cāsya vayasā tulyaḥ pṛthivyām abhavat tadā ||
Dijo Vāyu-deva: «Sin causa aparente, de pronto estallaba en carcajadas, y con la misma súbita fuerza rompía en llanto. Entonces, en esta tierra, no había nadie de su misma edad que pudiera considerarse su igual.»
वायुदेव उवाच
