Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
दैतेया दानवेन्द्राश्ष महाकाया महाबला: । चक्राग्नौ क्षयमापन्ना दावाग्नौ शलभा इव
daiteyā dānavendrāś ca mahākāyā mahābalāḥ | cakrāgnau kṣayam āpannā dāvāgnau śalabhā iva ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Muchos poderosos Daityas y los más eminentes Dānavas —de enorme cuerpo y gran fuerza— han hallado su destrucción en el ardiente fuego del disco de Kṛṣṇa, como polillas consumidas por un incendio forestal».
