The verse presents a dharmic ideal through lineage: noble qualities such as being 'unconquered' (aparājita) and 'heroic' (śūra) are highlighted as markers of worthy succession, implying that righteous order sustains strength and reputation across generations.
Īśvara speaks a prophetic genealogical statement: Vṛjinīvat will have a descendant named Uṣaḍgu, and Uṣaḍgu will have a son named Citraratha, described with epithets praising their valor and invincibility.
