Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच हन्त ते<हं प्रवक्ष्यामि देवि कर्मफलोदयम् । मर्त्यलोके नर: सर्वो येन स्वफलमश्षुते
śrīmaheśvara uvāca: hanta te 'haṃ pravakṣyāmi devi karmaphalodayam | martyaloke naraḥ sarvo yena svaphalam aśnute ||
Śrī Maheśvara dijo: «Ven, oh Diosa; te explicaré cómo surge la maduración de las acciones. En el mundo de los mortales, toda persona, por esa misma ley, llega a experimentar y a consumir el fruto de sus propios actos.»
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
That the fruits of actions inevitably manifest, and each person in the mortal world must experience the results of his or her own deeds—an ethical principle grounding responsibility and moral causality.
Maheśvara addresses Devī and begins an explanatory discourse, announcing that he will describe how karmic results arise and how all humans come to undergo their respective outcomes.
