मत्तो5प्यष्टौ वरानिष्टान् गृहाण त्वं ददामि ते । प्रणम्य शिरसा सा च मयोक्ता पाण्डुनन्दन
matto 'py aṣṭau varān iṣṭān gṛhāṇa tvaṃ dadāmi te | praṇamya śirasā sā ca mayoktā pāṇḍunandana |
«También de mí pide ocho dones deseados; yo te los concederé.» Así habló ella. Entonces, oh hijo de Pāṇḍu, tras inclinar la cabeza y postrarme a los pies de la Madre del Universo, me dirigí a ella—(y procedí a exponer mi petición).
