ब्राह्मण्यं देवि सम्प्राप्य रक्षितव्यं यतात्मना । योनिप्रतिग्रहादानै: कर्मभिश्न शुचिस्मिते

Transliteration

brāhmaṇyaṁ devi samprāpya rakṣitavyaṁ yatātmanā | yonipratigrahadānaiḥ karmabhiś ca śucismite ||

Translation

Maheshvara dijo: «Oh Diosa, de sonrisa pura: una vez alcanzada la condición y dignidad de la brahmanidad, debe protegerse con dominio de sí. Con mente y sentidos disciplinados, guárdese ese estado por la pureza del linaje y de la conducta, por la pureza al aceptar dones, por la pureza al dar, y por las obras justas».
