तस्या वत्समुखोत्सृष्ट: फेनो मद्गात्रमागतः । ततो दग्धा मया गावो नानावर्णत्वमागता:
tasyā vatsamukhotsṛṣṭaḥ pheno madgātram āgataḥ | tato dagdhā mayā gāvo nānāvārṇatvam āgatāḥ ||
Dijo Mahādeva: «De aquella vaca, la espuma que salió de la boca de su ternero cayó sobre mi cuerpo. Encolerizado por ello, comencé a afligir a las vacas con calor; abrasadas por mi ira, las vacas adquirieron muchos colores distintos.»
