Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
तमहं प्राउ्जलिर्भूत्वा मृगपक्षिष्वथाग्निषु । धर्मे च शिष्यवर्गे च समपृच्छमनामयम्,तब मैंने हाथ जोड़कर आश्रमके मृग, पक्षी, अग्निहोत्र, धर्मांचरण तथा शिष्यवर्गका कुशल-समाचार पूछा
tam ahaṁ prāñjalir bhūtvā mṛgapakṣiṣv athāgniṣu | dharme ca śiṣyavarge ca samapṛccham anāmayam ||
Entonces, con las palmas juntas en señal de reverencia, pregunté por el bienestar del āśrama: por sus ciervos y aves, por los fuegos sagrados del Agnihotra, por la observancia del dharma y por la comunidad de discípulos, indagando si todo estaba libre de enfermedad y de perturbación.
