Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अपि कीट: पतड़्जो वा भवेयं शड्कराज्ञया । न तु शक्र त्वया दत्त त्रलोक्यमपि कामये
api kīṭaḥ pataṅgo vā bhaveyaṃ śaṅkarājñayā | na tu śakra tvayā dattaṃ trailokyam api kāmaye ||
Dijo Vāsudeva: «Por mandato de Śaṅkara podría llegar a ser incluso un gusano o una polilla; pero no deseo, oh Śakra, ni siquiera la soberanía de los tres mundos si me la otorgas tú. Cualquier estado que disponga Mahādeva—aun el más bajo—lo tendré por la más alta consumación; mas no anhelo aceptar el dominio sobre los dioses de nadie que no sea Él.»
