Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
पशुपतिवचनाद् भवामि सद्य: कृमिरथवा तरुरप्यनेकशाख: । अपशुपतिवरप्रसादजा मे त्रिभुवनराज्यविभूतिरप्यनिष्टा
paśupativacanād bhavāmi sadyaḥ kṛmir athavā tarur apy anekaśākhaḥ | apaśupativarprasādajā me tribhuvanarājyavibhūtir apy aniṣṭā ||
Dijo Vāsudeva: «A una sola palabra del Señor Paśupati puedo, al instante y con gusto, convertirme incluso en un gusano—o en un árbol de muchas ramas. Pero si el esplendor de la soberanía sobre los tres mundos me llegara por el don y el favor de alguien distinto de Paśupati (Śiva), ni siquiera eso sería deseable para mí».
