Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
एष शक्तो महाबाहुर्वक्तुं भगवतो गुणान् । विभूतिं चैव कार्त्स्न्येन सत्यां माहेश्वरी नूप
eṣa śakto mahābāhur vaktuṁ bhagavato guṇān | vibhūtiṁ caiva kārtsnyena satyāṁ māheśvarīṁ nṛpa, nareśvara |
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Oh rey, señor de los hombres: sólo éste, el de poderosos brazos, Kṛṣṇa, es capaz de describir en su totalidad las cualidades del Bienaventurado Señor y su soberano poder verdadero, semejante al de Maheśvara. Tal es la grandeza de Śrī Kṛṣṇa.»
