Bhishma emphasizes that a certain dharma brings human happiness and great spiritual/ethical benefit, but it must be practiced with śraddhā (faithful commitment) and understood along with its inner rationale (rahasya).
In Anushasana Parva, Bhishma continues his extended instruction on dharma. Here he signals a transition to describing an additional, especially beneficial practice, urging the listener to hear it attentively and follow it with faith.
