क्लिश्यमानान् विमार्गेषु कामक्रोधावृतात्मन: । मन्ये त्वं ध्यायसि जनांस्तेनासि हरिण: कृश:
kliśyamānān vimārgeṣu kāmakrodhāvṛtātmanaḥ | manye tvaṃ dhyāyasi janāṃs tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||
Dijo el brahmán: «Creo que mantienes tu mente puesta en aquellos cuya alma está velada por el deseo y la ira, y que, al desviarse por sendas torcidas, padecen penalidades. Porque contemplas sin cesar a esos afligidos, te has vuelto delgado y pálido».
