Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa
यदेव ददत: पुण्यं तदेव प्रतिगृह्नतः । न होकचक्रं वर्तेत इत्येवमृषयों विदु:
yad eva dadataḥ puṇyaṃ tad eva pratigṛhṇataḥ | na hokacakraṃ varteta ity evam ṛṣayo viduḥ ||
Dijo Maitreya: «El mismo mérito que se acumula en quien da, lo obtiene igualmente quien recibe (como es debido). Así lo saben los sabios: de otro modo, la rueda del sostén mutuo en el mundo no giraría».
