Dāna–Tapaḥ Praśaṃsā and Gṛhastha-Upadeśa
Maitreya
अचिरेणैव कालेन कीट: पार्थिवसत्तम | प्रजापालनधर्मेण प्रेत्य विप्रत्वमागत:
acireṇaiva kālena kīṭaḥ pārthiva-sattama | prajā-pālana-dharmeṇa pretya vipratvam āgataḥ ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «¡Oh, el mejor de los reyes! En poco tiempo, aquel que antes fue un gusano, por sostener el deber de proteger y gobernar al pueblo conforme al dharma, murió; y después alcanzó nacimiento en un linaje de brāhmaṇas. Tal es el poder del dharma del recto gobierno».
