मुनिर्दान्तो जितक्रोधो जितशिश्रोदर: सदा
munir dānto jitakrodho jitaśiśrodaraḥ sadā
Bhīṣma dijo: «Un sabio debe ser dueño de sí, siempre disciplinado: quien ha vencido la ira y ha dominado los impulsos de los sentidos y del vientre».
भीष्म उवाच
The verse defines the ethical profile of an ideal muni: steady self-restraint, victory over anger, and mastery over bodily appetites—especially hunger and sexual impulse—so that conduct remains consistently dharmic.
